Arranging attempts

In 2011, I did an audition for an arranging position. Over a couple of months, I furiously wrote some charts according to some interesting guidelines. I did not get this position, because I think this project was perhaps a little beyond my capabilities. But I grew quite a bit.

Here are some of recordings of these arrangements. These were readings, not performances.

My Country tis of Thee (for band and chorus)

Christopher Cross, Sailing (for chorus with rhythm section)

Sibelius, Kerellia (adaptation of excerpt from orchestra to band)

Paule Maurice, Tableaux (adaptation from sax with piano to sax with band)

The Way We Were (adaptation for small marching band)

This Can’t Be Love (big band arrangement with vocalist)

Does Anybody Know What Time it is? (for rock band)

Oh Little Town of Bethlehem (for mixed group)
