How to practice

Below are some PDF documents of ambitious lesson plans called “Trumpet Building Blocks” that I have used with my college-aged students. You may find them helpful to follow. Although I haven’t revised these for a few years, I think most of the material is still helpful. Organized by “Years,” these plans can be helpful to trumpet students who are at least at an advanced High School level.

Each lesson plan year has a recommended repertoire, but I have made some improvements in this area, so I would like for you to look at the last PDF file, Trumpet Repertoire, organized first according to level of difficulty and then according to genre.
