Gottfried Reiche, astoundingly important first trumpeter of Bach (1723-34), Leipzig member of the Kunstgeiger (string guild) and Stadtpfeifer (city piper guild), Senior Stadt-pfeifer in 1719, commissioned by the Leipzig council for a portrait sitting with the artist E.G. Haussmann in 1727, composer of the famous Abblasen fanfare used on CBS Sunday Morning, born in Weissenfels, Germany.
