Theodor Hoch, German cornetist, member of the famed Kaiser Fanz Guard Grenadier Second Regiment Band, gold medal recipient at the Paris Exposition (awarded by Napoleon), performed at the World’s Peace Jubilee and the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia, member of the Johann Strauss Orchestra in Vienna, soloist with the orchestra of Benjamin Bilse in Berlin, immigrated to the U.S. and performed with the Mozart Symphony Club of New York, writer of the Tutor for the Cornet (1880), composer of many solos for the cornet, performer on the echo-cornet, died in Brooklyn, New York.
