Theodore Weis, American trumpeter, leading NYC freelancer (1940s-70s), founding member of the American Brass Quintet, recorded chamber works of Stravinsky with composer conducting, first trumpet in New York Chamber Symphony of the 92nd St. Y, American Symphony Orchestra, New York City Opera and NYC Ballet, died in Englewood, New Jersey.
