Lew Soloff, American jazz trumpeter, performed with many big bands in the 1960s and joined the fusion group Blood, Sweat and Tears (winning a Grammy in 1969 for “Spinning Wheel”), performed with many famous artists, member of The Manhattan Jazz Quintet, adjunct teacher at The Juilliard School, born in Brooklyn, New York.
