Bram Smith, Jr., Canadian trumpeter, learned to play cornet from his father, principal at age fourteen with the Royal Regiment Band of Canada, at 15 won national solo contest for brass, member of the U.S. Marine Band, then with the U.S. Army Band as principal trumpet of the Herald Trumpets, after his service years became director of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Band, then director of music at Humber College, music coordinator for King Hassan of Morocco, born in Ottowa, Canada.
