Franz Neugebauer, German trumpeter, known for recordings of Arban’s solos, principal of the Municipal Opera orchestra in Berlin and the Gürzenich-Orchestra in Cologne (1937-45), taught at the State Hochschule für Musik, member of Munich Philharmonic, then Southwest German Symphony Orchestra in Baden-Baden, principal of the Symphony Orchestra of the West German Radio in Cologne, professor at the Folkwang Musikhochschule in Essen, died in Wipperfürth, Germany.
