Stan Roderick, British trumpeter, moved to London in 1930s to play in big bands of Henry Hall and Bram Marin, later with Ted Heath, served with the Black Watch Regiment in Dunkirk in WWII–suffering shell shock that caused nerve problems through career, after war, played in many bands and was studio player, known for beautiful melodic playing, died on this day.
