David Rosebrook, American cornetist, conductor and violinist, moved to San Francisco in 1899 as special soloist (with H.L. Clarke) for tour with Henry Ohlmeyer, principal in San Francisco Symphony (1912-30), soloist in the Golden Gate Band, frequent guest conductor with San Francisco Symphony and the Islam Shrine Band, became soloist with the Goldman Band in 1934, but after only five weeks fell ill and returned home, dying three years later.
