Irving Bush, American trumpeter, after studies at California State University, played in LA area in bands of Harry James, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Nelson Riddle and Nat “King” Cole, recorded with the Columbia Broadcasting Symphony under Igor Stravinsky, joined LA Phil in 1961, taught at Naval School of Music, at California State University and at Univ. of Southern California, retired from playing and became personnel manager of the LA Phil in 1983, born in Los Angeles, California.
