Florence Horne, American cornetist, played for governor of Maine when she was 10, at 13 a featured soloist with R.B. Hall’s band, joined the famed Fadettes in Boston, toured as soloist with the Cecilia Musical Club and many other groups, gave many recitals in the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in NYC, born in Cambridge, Maine.
