Axel Dörner, German trumpeter and composer, mainly a piano player and switched to trumpet in his twenties, formed a group called The Streetfighters Duo (then Quartet and then Double Quartet), formed the Axel Dörner Quartet, played with many jazz groups, known for playing a three-valved trumpet with a slide, born in Cologne, Germany.
