Bob Shoffner, American jazz trumpeter, played in the 10th Cavalry Band in WWI, moved to Chicago after war and played with Freddie Keppard and Honore Dutrey, then King Oliver’s Creole Band in 1924, played with many fine bands in the 1930s, born in Bessie, Tennessee.
