Billy Northcott, British cornetist, cornetist aboard British navy ships at age 14, after 10 years, traveled to Australia and started a band in Victoria, moved to New Zealand and started a concert company which became employed in Honolulu for 15 months, traveled to San Francisco and then NYC to join the Grand Opera House Orchestra, played with many other organizations including concerts for the Philadelphia Centennial with organ, toured with his own company in the 1880s, became a street musician earning enough to die a wealthy man in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
