Chelsea Quealey, American jazz trumpeter, at 19 he played with Jan Garber (1925), then the California Ramblers, recorded in England with Fred Elizalde, back in the US he played with Don Voorhees, Paul Whiteman’s orchestra and Ben Pollack’s band, during the 1940s played traditional jazz at Nick’s and other clubs in NYC, died of heart problems at age 45 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
