Michel Nicolay, Belgian trumpeter, student of Charlier (1st prize with distinction), served in the 4th Infantry Regiment Band then 1st Pioneers Regiment Band as principal cornet, principal of a radio orchestra, international touring soloist, replaced Charlier as trumpet teacher at the Royal Conservatory (1933-52) performing as principal in the National Institute of Radio Broadcasting in Brussels, died in Ixelles, Belgium.
