Timothy Kent, American trumpeter, interested in jazz when young, but began taking lessons with Adolph Herseth, joined the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, won job in the Trier Opera orchestra in Germany (1973), won 4th chair in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (1979-1996), became leading researcher on colonial fur trade in America, born in Ossineke, Michigan.
