George (“Pee Wee”) Erwin, American swing trumpeter, played with Joe Haymes (1931-3), Isham Jones, (1933-4), Freddie Martin (1934), in NYC worked as studio musician appearing on several Let’s Dance radio programs, played with Benny Goodman and Tommy Dorsey, formed his own successful traditional jazz band (1949), ran a trumpet school in the 1960s, recorded many albums, born in Falls City, Nebraska.
