Paul Archibald, British trumpeter, coprincipal of the Royal Opera House Orchestra at Covent Garden, joined the Philharmonia Orchestra (1978), formed his own English Brass Consort and toured with the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble, played with the London Sinfonietta, prize winner at the 1984 Toulon competition, principal of the BBC National Orchestra in Wales (1995-97), professor at many of England’s music conservatories, given Award of Fellow at the Royal Academy of Music, born in Leeds, England.
