1913 Norm Bailey, American trumpeter, member of the Lawrence Welk Orchestra, born in Worchester, Massachusetts.

1915 Christian Rodenkirchen, German trumpeter and cornetist, immigrated to the United States in 1883, principal cornet of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (1891-1902), principal trumpet of New York Symphony (1903-4), principal of the Met (1904-5), principal of the New York Philharmonic (1905-7, 1909-11), second trumpet in Philadelphia Orchestra (1911-15), died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

1922 Conrad Gozzo, American jazz trumpeter, member of many great big bands, studio musician (NBC staff orchestra), born in New Britain, Connecticut.

1927 Don Fagerquist, American jazz trumpeter, member of many fine big bands, born in Worchester, Massachusetts.

1952 Chuck Berginc, American trumpeter, principal of the State Orchestra of Mexico in Toluca, fourth trumpet in the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and performer with many other orchestras, born in Cleveland, Ohio.

2010 Roger Guérin, renowned French jazz trumpeter, died in Saintes Maries de la Mer, France

2011 James Watson, British trumpeter and conductor, principal cornet in the Destford Colliery Band and City of London Brass Band, principal of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, member of the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble, principal of the Covent Garden Orchestra, studio musician on many soundtracks, died in London, England.
