Bunny Berigan, American jazz trumpeter, moved to NYC and played with Bix Beiderbecke in the Dorsey Brothers orchestra (1930) and in Hal Kemp’s orchestra, worked as studio musician, played with Paul Whiteman’s band, Benny Goodman, Fred Rich, Tommy Dorsey, started his own band in 1937 and declared bankruptcy in 1940, had problems with alcohol, died at 33 years old in NYC.
