Ted Curson, American jazz trumpeter, began career with Bobby Timmons, then Charlie Ventura, moved to NYC, playing with many important jazz figures, member of the Charlie Mingus Quartet, co-led band with Bill Barron, toured in Europe, hosted jam sessions at the Blue Note, performed as guitarist and vocalist as well, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
