Elmer (“Sonny”) Dunham, American trumpeter, played trombone with Ben Bernie then joined Paul Tremaine’s orchestra as trumpet and trombone player (and singer and arranger), formed his own group Sonny Dunham and the New York Yankees, joined Glen Gray’s Casa Loma Orchestra, formed a new band that had some success (1940-51), died in Miami, Florida.
