Adolf Scherbaum, Czech trumpeter, pioneer in performing baroque trumpet pieces on modern trumpet (piccolo), played with an opera theater in Brno, a spa orchestra in Moravia, played in the Czech Philharmonic in Prague, principal of the Berlin Philharmonic, solo trumpet at the Pressburg Radio and prof. at the Pressburg Conservatory, solo trumpet with the Hamburg Radio Orchestra, designed a piccolo and a type of mouthpiece, toured and played hundreds of solo concerts from 1965-72, prof. at the School of Music in Saarbrücken, died in Heilsbronn, Germany.
