Mark Van Cleave, American jazz trumpeter, worked at the Vincent Bach Corporation, formed his own 9-piece horn band, joined a circus band as trumpeter and then as bandleader, played with the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestras, toured as lead trumpet and soloist with the Guy Lombardo Orchestra, performed with many to musicians such as the Temptations, the Four Tops and the Supremes, formed the Mark Van Cleave Jazz Orchestras, founded Van Cleave Trumpets, born in Knox, Indiana.
