Johnny Wiggs, American cornetist and bandleader, under his birth name of John Hyman, worked in New Orleans with Norman Brownlee, the New Orleans Owls, the Bayou Stompers and Earl Crumb’s Suburban Gardens Band, taught Pete Fountain, formed his own band under the name of Johnny Wiggs, born in New Orleans, Louisiana.
