Ian Hamer, British trumpeter, composer, played in his mother’s band, joined jazz groups led by Carl Barriteau, Oscar Rabin, Tubby Hayes, Vic Lewis and Ivor and Basil Kirchin, played with the Vic Ash Quintet, co-led The Six Sounds, played in his own Ian Hamer Sextet, recorded with the Beatles (“Got to Get You Into My Life”), died in Brighton, England.
