Thomas Hochstadt, American trumpeter, Fulbright scholarship to study in Vienna, doctorate at Eastman, member of the Oklahoma City Symphony, Lake Placid Sinfonietta, U.S. Army Band, Rochester Philharmonic, became conductor, principal trumpet and assistant conductor of the Honolulu Symphony Orch (1962), conductor of the Midland-Odessa Symphony and Amarillo Symphony, born in Ryan, Oklahoma.
