Rick Baptist, American trumpeter, started trumpet at 10 to counteract asthma, played in Latin band at 12, sub in San Francisco Symphony at 15, played in casino band at 20 (1968), eventually played six nights a week in six different casino orchestras in Las Vegas, moved to LA to become studio player in 1979, recorded more than 1000 movies, 1000 television shows, hundreds of albums, born in Alameda, California.
