Stephen Burns, American trumpet, conductor and composer, won Young Concert Artists Guild competition in 1981, received Avery Fisher Career Grant and the Recitalists Grant from NEA, winner of Maurice André competition (1988), artistic director of the Fulcrum Point New Music Project, taught at I.U., Manhattan School of Music, SUNY Purchase, faculty at Chosen Vale, born in Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts.
