Stacy Blair, American trumpeter, legally blind, learned to play by ear by listening to classical recordings (memorized more than 150 concertos), studied with Herseth and André, developed solo career by performing with many bands and orchestras, appeared frequently on TV, Hall of Fame for Persons with Disabilities (1998), Helen Keller Life Achievement Award (1995), born in Eastland, Texas.
