Jack Mackintosh, British cornetist and trumpeter, known as the “Cornet King,” affected by rheumatic fever when 15, member of the Hetton Colliery Band, St. Hilda’s Band, cornet soloist with the Harton Colliery Band (1919-1930), joined the BBC Symphony Orch, (1930-52), taught at the Royal Military School of Music, born in Sunderland, England.
