Guido Basso, Canadian jazz flugelhornist, toured with Vic Damone at age 18, played subsequently with Pearl Bailey and Louis Bellson, formed his own jazz quintet that was active in the 1960s, led his own big band on television with many famous guests, performed with Rob McConnell’s Boss Brass, born in Montreal, Canada.
