Ernst Sachse, German trumpeter and cornetist, one of Germany’s finest trumpeters in the 19th Century, writer of Etudes for the alto E-flat trumpet (now published as 100 Etudes–used for transposition), principal of the Weimar court orchestra under Johann Nepomuk Hummel, died in Weimar, Germany.
