Milton Larkin, American jazz trumpeter, vocalist and bandleader, freelanced with a few bands after teaching himself how to play trumpet, formed his own band that toured the Southwest (1936-43), drafted into the U.S. Army during WWII (playing in a band), after service formed another band, this time playing more valve trombone, founded Get Involved Now, a nonprofit that provided live concerts for audiences at hospitals and nursing homes, receiving the Jefferson Award for community service by the City of Houston, born in Houston, Texas.
