Chris Botti, American jazz trumpeter, popular for smooth, Miles-Davis-like playing and good looks, selected as member of McDonald’s All American High School Jazz Band, received grant to study in NYC, left senior year of Indiana Univ to tour with Frank Sinatra and Buddy Rich, studio player in NYC (1985), toured with many pop and rock stars and bands, collaborated with Sting, performed on PBS television specials, nominated several times for Grammys, actor on soap opera One Life to Live, born in Portland, Oregon.
