Johann Christoph Pezel, German trumpeter, violinist and composer, member of the Ratsmusiker (tower watchmen-trumpeter), Kunstgeiger (string player) in Leipzig in 1664, appointed Stadtpfeifer for life in 1670, published two collections of tower music for five-part cornett and trombone ensemble, sonatas and duos, died in Bautzen, Germany.
