Lee Collins, American jazz trumpeter, played in King Oliver’s band in Chicago, recorded with Jelly Roll Morton, played in Luis Russell’s band in NYC, made many recordings in the 1930s, formed his own band at the Victory Club, toured with Kid Ory, played with Mezz Mezzrow’s band in France, wrote an autobiography, Oh Didn’t He Ramble, born in New Orleans, Louisiana.
