Ray Crisara, American trumpeter, studied at the Ernest Williams School of Music, meeting many important fellow trumpeters, played in the Goldman Band, co-soloing with Del Staigers, accepted teaching position at the University of Michigan, became principal at the Met, but quickly drafter into the army during WWII, after service became member of the NBC Symphony, worked as studio musician, performed on Broadway, taught at many schools of music in the NYC area, accepted position at Univ of Texas in Austin (1980-2003), known for accuracy and fast single tongue, born in Cortland, New York.
