Pieter Dolk, Dutch trumpeter, assisted Jewish musicians and sent to the Vught Concentration Camp in 1943, after war studied with Marinus Komst, played in the Nederlandse Opera, the Resident Orchestra, the Groningen Orchestra Society, principal in the Noordelijk Filharmonisch Orkest, the Gravenhage Ensemble, early player of baroque trumpet performing with the Edward Tarr Brass Ensemble, died on this day.
