Don Elliott, American jazz trumpeter, played trumpet in an army band in WWII, played in the Jan Race Trio, vocalist with Hi,L, Jack and the Dame, played vibes with the George Shearing Quinet, won a Downbeat award for best miscellaneous instrumentalist, Broadway musician, composer and producer for commercials, television and film scores, special soloist at Carnegie Hall with the New York Jazz Repertory Company in 1975, born in Somerville, New Jersey.
