Lee Loughnane, American rock trumpeter, formed group with friends called The Big Thing (1967), moved to LA and renamed in 1968 as The Chicago Transit Authority (later shorted to Chicago), developed physically while quitting smoking to become powerful commercial trumpeter, member of Chicago for decades (one of the top ten selling U.S. rock bands of all time), born in Elmwood Park, Illinois.
