Elgar Howarth, British trumpeter, conductor and composer, played with father’s band at age 10 (principal at 18), formed the “Manchester New Music Group” as composer, played in the Royal Opera House Covent Garden (1958-63), principal of the Royal Phil Orch, member of the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble, transcribed Pictures at an Exhibition for PJBE, played on Beatles’ Magical Mystery Tour, born in Cannock, England.
