Joe Gordon, American jazz trumpeter, played with Georgie Auld, Lionel Hampton, Art Blakey, Charlie Parker, Don Redman, Dizzy Gillespie, Horace Silver, Herb Pomeroy, moved to LA in 1958 and played with important jazz figures there, appeared in film, The Proper Time, died in house fire in Santa Monica, California.
