Kamau Muata Adilifu, American trumpeter, born Charles Sullivan, as student, played in pit orchestras for various Broadway shows, worked with Lionel Hampton, Count Basie, Clark Terry, Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra, and many others, led the Black Legacy Big Band, taught at Bennington College, born in NYC.
