Willie Cook, American jazz trumpeter, played with Claude Trenier, Jay McShann, Earl Hines, Dizzy Gillespie, became disillusioned with music business (taking a construction job), but then played with Duke Ellington’s band (1951-57; 1959-69), married Swedish woman and moved to Sweden, playing with several bands there, born in Tangipohoa, Louisiana.
