Nelson Williams, American jazz trumpeter, played in territory bands, musical direction tor of the Dixie Rhythm Girls, played with Tiny Bradshaw’s group, served in US Army in WWII, after which played with several bands including Duke Ellington (who called him “Cadillac”), moved to Paris, France and recorded frequently, later moved to the Netherlands, died in Voorburg, Netherlands.
