Samuel Graves, American instrument maker, founded Graves & Company, moved company to Westchester, New Hampshire around 1830, becoming the largest musical instrument factory in America, with influence of maker James Keat, and situated in Boston, focused on brass instruments, eventually purchased by Patrick Gilmore, then later became Boston Musical Instrument Manufactory, born in New Boston, New Hampshire.
