Ed Harkins, American trumpeter and composer, taught music theory and trumpet at the New England Conservatory, played with Little Anthony and the Im serials, the International Ice Follies, Barnum and Bailey Circus, Fellow at the Center for Music Experiment at the Univ of California-San Diego, one of the leading performers of avant-garde extreme trumpet repertoire, recorded many important works, formed the duo (THE) with Philip Larson, born in Decatur, Illinois.
